According to a NIPNA reporter; Houshang Bazvand, the governor of Kermanshah (one of Iran’s provinces), this morning (December 13) together with provincial officials and representatives of the Kermanshah people at the House of Nation, once again visited the west Islamabad petrochemical project named GTPP (conversion of natural gas to polypropylene) and called the construction of this petrochemical unit a long-standing fulfillment which people of Kermanshah are wished about.
Regarding to same report; The implementation of this petrochemical project with an investment of $ 545 million in west Islamabad is expected to officially begin next month.
GTPP project in Zagros Special Economic Zone located in west Islamabad, using the technical knowledge of Petrochemical Research and Technology Company in three phases of conversion of natural gas to methanol (capacity 660 thousand tons per year), conversion of methanol to propylene (annual capacity of 120 thousand tons) and finally the production of valuable and expensive polypropylene (capacity 120 thousand tons per year) will be established.
According to this report; with the implementation of this plan and the construction of the downstream industry chain, Islamabad west petrochemical will lead to job creation, economic prosperity and business dynamism in Kermanshah province.
