According to the NIPNA reporter, the growth and development of Iran's petrochemical industry continues rapidly and statistics show that in the last 7 years, production capacity has grown by 30% from 56.7 to more than 74 million tons by the end of September this year.

Also, by the end of the May 2021, considering that the second petrochemical leap projects become productive, production capacity is expected to reach 85 to 90 million tons, which will show 50 percent of growth.
Regarding same report, the production of Iranian petrochemical products from the beginning of this year to the end of October, with an increase more than eight percent reach to 35 million tons which part of it is dedicated as feed for downstream industries and the other part has been exported.
Iran's petrochemical industry is one of the most important pillars of development and the driving force of various sectors of the country's economy. Completing the production chain, diversifying products, supplying feed to domestic industries, as well as enhancing the value of the products basket in this industry are also on the agenda.
